Friday was the most miserable day of my life. Everyone knows about the no electricity thing, so I won't go into detail about that. So, Friday. What made it miserable? Too be honest, I'm not quite sure. I was just miserable. Miserable. Maybe I'm gonna get my period soon.

Oh, but Saturday was good! So we had this gig thing in the open jam in Poveda. Both my bands played. So the first band, Ipswich (my class band, go 4D!), rocked. We played Beautiful by Flickerstick, followed by Must Get Out by Maroon 5, then Megalomaniac by Incubus, and last but definitely not the least (this song's last for a reason after all, haha), Time is Running Out by Muse--the song with one of the sexiest bass lines ever, yeeah haha.

Right after Ipswich was this sophomore band. God they sucked. C'mon, they couldn't even nail the "na na na na" of All the Small Things.

After them was my second band, Tala (the batch band, go batch 2006! yeeah). Last time we ever played together was May... So one guess how that turned out, haha. We played four songs, four songs we practically knew by heart. Before. Apparently we didn't anymore. Haha! Out of the four songs, we only got to finish the last song. Yeeah I nailed the solooo. Haha!!

K, still no internet.

Currently in an internet place in Shangrila, surrounded by kids. Aaargh. Too much kiiids. Before we came here, we went to Podium and had a photo shoot. I hate photo shoots. Mom forced us to do it, no choice.

Yesterday was Carol's dinner at Heat. Buffet is the way to go. Sooo much food, and all of them so goood. Had roast beef, prawns, lamb, pizza, pasta, and lots and lots of salmon sashimi. And dessert was good too! Chocolate! But after that, it was too much to take. Just looking at it made me wanna puke. But it was all good. Haha!

I have such crappy luck with electronics. Computer's weirding out, internet's down, and now my iPod reset. How nice.

Well, last week was hell week. Our first drafts for our Botany Lec term papers were due. So were our Lab papers. And he said he was gonna move the deadline on Monday cuz he wasn't able to post the guide questions online until late! Then he goes and changes it again, putting it back to Thursday. Our whole block looked so sabog, it was quite funny. People had major eyebags and kept falling asleep and stuff. Yeaah, that's the way to go, no sleep. Haha. Biology's really kicking our asses here. Well, it's a preview of what we signed up for right? At least I had a fun weekend. A really fun weekend.

Concerning academics, next week's not gonna be any better. Long quiz on English on Monday, Lab practicals, Fil paper, Math LT, and a Math homework on Tuesday. Botany LT and Lit reporting on Wednesday. How fuun.

Okay, I'm currently in my cousins' house. Funny story.

So today (or yesterday actually, but I'm still living in September 9, haha) was Mica Sob's debut. Ipswich played, and we were goood. As in, we sounded great! Considering I would totally blow the song Time is Running Out during band practice (which was only 2 days, haha major crammers), I actually did good during the gig itself. And we rocked! We sounded so good! It was a nice feeling, to have a great gig again.

Ah great, was stretching and I strained my neck.

Anyway, after the debut some friends and I went to the AISEC party. That was around 12. My friend was supposed to bring me home after that (okay, I actually went to the AISEC party with them cuz I had no transpo to get home, only she could take me. But that was after the AISEC party, so no choice, right?). But some minutes after I got there, my cousin called and said he was gonna pick me up. So there, at least no more transpo problem. But apparently, there's more to that. The reason he was picking me up was because our neighbor's house was on fire. Considering it's my house and not his, he was the one panicking.

Luckily the fire didn't reach our house. But just to be sure, I'm staying over here at my cousins' house while my two siblings are staying in my grandparents' house. According to sister dearest, mom is back at the house.

Sucks having no internet. Internet disappeared last Sunday. Hehe, in my sister's kabarkada's house right now. They're busy studying for their exams. Wow, they're actually studying hehe.

So, how have I been? Last August 31, Thursday, was my kabarkada's birthday. So after school, we went over there and hung out. Then Saturday was Kat's despedida. She's leaving!! Can't believe she's actually leaving! It was inevitable, but still. Hard to swallow. I'm gonna miss her soooo much. Then Sunday, Pat and I played badminton in Greenhills. Well, we were supposed to. But we ended up watching a movie instead. Hehe so much for our healthy day.

Aww, poor sister. She's currently confined in the hospital right now. Apparently she might have dengue... Hope not. Before, she'd keep bragging about how she's the only one from us siblings who hasn't been confined in the hospital. Haha so much for that streak.

Sooo how was my weekend? Well, yesterday, I hung out with high school friends. I finally saw Davey and Mariel! Haven't seen them for the loooongest time!! And Yssa, Yani, Reg, Kat, and Meg. People I've seen quite recently but not so recently hehe. It was nice. Major nostalgia.

So, we were planning to meet up in Promenade at 12 and have lunch at Teriyaki Boy. But the siblings had check-ups, so I ended up going there at like 1:30. Which was okay. Ate lunch at home to save money. But then when I got there, I still ordered... I had a kani salad, California maki, and salmon sashimi. So much for saving. After that, we went to buy movie tickets for Click. At least I had a free movie stub thing. Bought candy (gummy oil colas and chocolate rocks! yuum). After the movie, we went to World KTV. More foood. Chicken lollipop, baked mussels, dumplings, and garlic and cheese pizza. Then after that, Starbucks. Aaargh spent to much on fooood.

Friday, August 11, was my dad's one year death anniversary. In the morning, we went over to Heritage Park (where he's buried) and had a Mass. Later that night, there was a party here in the house. A looot of people came. My mom said there were about almost 200 people. So overall, it was a success.

My dad's uncle was confined in the hospital. Some weeks ago we visited him. He kept saying stuff about how our dad was coming to pick him up already. Everyone was just like, "stop it, don't say that" and stuff. He died August 11, at around 11pm, just about the time the party ended.

Well, there was a party at Phi Bar yesterday which I didn't go (one guess why, haha). So... yesterday was boring.

I made one of those no-bake cheesecakes. Problem was, there was something wrong with the filling mix. So I just ended up making the crust. Well, not bad. The crust is my favorite part anyway.

So what else? Oh! Birth showed yesterday in HBO. I was watching it for a while. Changed my mind about one-third through the film and decided to watch a sappy Korean movie I borrowed from a friend. I just finished reading the movie spoiler of Birth right now. I didn't miss that much.

Last Friday, July 28, it was Trish Gangan's party. Trish is a close friend--a Davao sembreak buddy. And yesterday, July 29, was Maika Dinglasan's party. Bandmate, come on. And I was a shot.

So I tell mummy dearest that I have invitations. She just shrugs and says, "What for? It's not like you're going." Aaaargh.

Well, she's got a point, I guess. Last week, I (stupidly) promised her I wouldn't go out this weekend. Well, I didn't knooow there were gonna parties. Very important parties. But people give their invites so late!!

So Friday, before leaving for school, I asked my mom (again, stupid mistake, I know) if I could go to Trish's party. I shouldn't have done it, right? Cuz after that, she goes on a tirade of the importance of "balancing my life", of how I should "know my limits", how I should know how to "control myself", and how I am almost "overstepping my boundaries" (why she's so iffy with me is a loooong story). She was in a crappy mood. And after this sermon, so was I. So duh, no puedo ir a la velada de Trish, (sorry, Spanish just seemed so right for this part. "I can't go to Trish's party").

The scary thing was... well, maybe mummy dearest was right. I really, really hate to admit it, but yeah, maybe she's right.

At least she's cooler than I ever gave her credit for. Sure, I wasn't allowed to Trish's party, but she allowed me to Maika's. With certain conditions, of course. Haha, she wasn't gonna let me off that easy.

I know this all probably just selfish stuff, but when she made me leave at 11-ish, I kind of got annoyed. Yeah.. I'm being annoying too. Cuz I mean, she allowed me, right? I should've been happy with that. But.. yeah, whatever.

The driver had no money, that's why he couldn't pick me up at the front of Embassy. And it was raining! He was being so stubborn. I told him he didn't have to pay, since it takes less than 10 minutes for him to drive to the front of Embassy, me to get in the car, and then for us to drive away. But noooo. He kept saying he had no money. I was annoyed at my mom then. And I knew she wouldn't like it if I walked in the rain. So, in my weird form of revenge (I was still really annoyed at her then for making me leave so early), I decided to walk in the rain. Wearing white. A mini skirt. High heels. Ugh, it was horrible.
